CIRCLE PIT is quickly rising in the Texas heavy music scene with breakneck tempos, raucous live performances, and a single-minded focus on making music that starts a mosh pit. 

 

Drawing from the realms of hardcore punk and thrash metal, Circle Pit champions a brand of crossover that is loud, fast, and highly confrontational. 

 

Formed in 2015 by guitarist Brando Commando (ex-Numbskull) and  drummer Dave the Destroyer, Circle Pit originally gigged as an instrumental thrash duo. In early 2016, Boston-area transplant Mean Dean joined the group on vocals, adding an uncompromising punk dimension to the group’s songwriting. The lineup was complete with the addition of Chilean expatriate Jorge, a veteran of the Latin American punk scene and the glue for the group’s intense rhythm.  

 

Circle Pit set themselves apart with high-energy live performances across the Lone Star State, opening for bands like D.R.I , Confused, and Reagan Youth. 

 

The band released their third EP, “PUSHED TO REVENGE,” on January 10, 2020 through Wiseass Records. The new record ups the ante with relentless anthems like “Right to Die,” and “Killdozer.” Combining socio-political satire with sheer hardcore brutality, each of the EP’s 5 tracks is sure to keep the pit going strong.
